Child Sponsorship Program(CSP)
Your Sponsorship will enable an underprivileged child to attend a good school and access confidence building opportunities and skill development training programs in a congenial and favorable environment. Sponsor a child today and support CWCS Nepal’s work with marginalized and disadvantaged communities in Nepal. For individuals, groups or corporations willing to sponsor a child, CWCS Nepal offers two Sponsorship options.
A)‘Full Sponsorship’: US$ 960 per child per year. (In Euro the cost is € 685 per child per year).
CWCS Nepal’s Full Sponsorship covers all the costs that are necessary for comprehensive residential child care services. The service & facilities includes in this Sponsorship are food, shelter, education, proper medical care, clothing, extra curricular activities etc. More specifically, this Sponsorship gives a child an opportunity to grow in a very family environment ensuring overall child development in a proper way. Orphaned, abandoned, homeless, abused and enslaved children (forced child laborers) will benefit from this category of support.
Your sponsoring of a child or general donation provides the children with accommodation in a family environment with the following benefits:
- Food and secure Shelter.
- Clothing, including school uniforms.
- Covering of all educational expenses.
- Education materials.
- Proper Medical care.
- Combined study room and library facility.
- Extra curricular activities like sports, music, arts etc.
- Educational tours at least once a year.
- Celebration of traditional Nepali festivals.
Sponsors will receive a progress report (once in six months) about the activities of the CWCS Orphanage Center including:
- Recent photographs of the Sponsored child.
- Sponsored child’s educational progress report.
- Reports and photographs of extra-curricular activities in the CWCS Orphanage Center, e.g. sports, singing, dancing, drawing, quiz etc.
- Any other information you request regarding your child.
Costs
The annual cost of supporting a child through Full Sponsorship in the CWCS Orphanage center is US$ 960 per child per year (In Euro the cost is € 685 per child per year).This covers everything the child needs in a given year.
B) ‘Partial Sponsorship’: US$ 340 per child per year. (In Euro the cost is € 245 per child per year).
CWCS Nepal’s Children Education Aid through Child Sponsorship Program.
Since, Children Education Aid Program (CEAP) is specifically designed to help the very poor and needy children those who are unable get access to education due to extreme poverty! Through this program our main aim is to support children those who are working in the various River bank of Nepal as a child labor. Just for the sake of helping their parents to get two times meals a day or even sometimes that is also not possible to get due to the uncertainty in their work!
Investing in children is investing in the future. If you have the will power to make a difference in the lives of these poor souls by supporting this project with your donation. All you need to do is, contribute to the scholarship program for these children as sponsors. By sponsoring a child in this category you can provide:
- Initial school administration fees.
- Monthly tuition fees.
- School examination fees.
- Two school uniforms every six months (winter and summer).
- Sports materials for a child.
- Education materials such as,
- School text books.
- Exercise books, pencils etc.
- School bag, water bottle etc.
- Daily snacks at school.
Sponsoring individuals / organizations will receive a progress report (once in every six months) of the educational Sponsorship to a child, including:
- Recent photographs of the Sponsored children.
- The child’s educational progress report.
- Reports and photographs of the child’s extra curricular activities, e.g. sports, singing, dancing, drawing, quiz etc.

The annual cost of providing a child with one year’s education is US$340 per child per year (In Euro the cost is € 245 per child per year).This covers everything the child will need in a given year for education.

Local people, overseas individuals, organizations, donor-agencies and CWCS Nepal volunteers.
What kind of commitment is required from the Sponsor?
CWCS Nepal is concerned with making a long-term impact in the children’s lives. The perfect situation is if the child can be sponsored until s/he finishes high school education i.e. 10th grade in Nepal’s education system. But like written above, all small support can help, so you can always decide to step into the Sponsorship Program for the time you wish.
Is it possible to sponsor more than 1 child?
Of course! You are welcome to sponsor more than one child.

Payment policy of CWCS Nepal.
Cash payment can be made in US Dollars, Euros or Nepali Rupees. We also accept Western Union transfers. Although we do accept international bank wire transfers, but we discourage this due to the high cost of bank wire transfer fees.
We kindly request all our sponsors & donors to send the sponsored / donated amount either in full or half yearly (of six months) installments to the following bank account in Kathmandu, Nepal.
